TracFone/Net10/Straight Talk Black Friday deals

I received an email last week from long-time reader Alan, who had a great suggestion. He thought, and I agree, that it would be a good idea to make some sort of centralized list for all the TracFone-related deals available on the day after Thanksgiving, also known as “Black Friday.”

I’m going to take his suggestion, and take it one step further. Let’s share deals on TracFone, Net10, and Straight Talk phones and airtime, as well as applicable accessories. For the accessories, though, I ask that you only share news if they are extremely good deals – I don’t want this list to get too cluttered.

So here’s what I’d like to do: for the next 10-12 days, if you hear of a deal for November 27th, please post it in the comments section on this post. Sometime during the middle of Thanksgiving week, I’ll go back through the comments, summarize them, and publish a post with a list of all the deals.

Thanks in advance for those of you that take the time to participate.

Also, for those of you who have a Shopko near, there are a few phone deals going on through November 21. The W376g is offered at $14.99, while the Samsung T301g and the new LG 290c are both $29.99. All models include double minutes for life. As usual, the deals are subject to local availability and models may vary among  stores.

  1. Courtesy of Rob:

Samsung T401g qwerty for Net10 is supposed to be 39.99 or half off at Best Buy on Black Friday. Tracfone T301G and/or Lg290c is to be 24.99/half off at Sears. They are upping the limit to 4 instead of the traditonal America Movil two phones per person.

Also, Rite Aid is advertising a TracFone handset for $9.99. The ad doesn’t specify the model, although the w175 is pictured in the flyer. Might also be the LG 100c in CDMA areas.

  2. TODAY (11/15) AT SEARS (CHECK WEBSITE FOR ALL DETAILS AND VERY LIMITED TIME LIMIT FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS SALE)

Additional 5% off of all current specials in Electronics:
    Sunday ad: Tracfone W376 14.99 – %5
    Family & Friends online ad: Tracfone T301G 24.99 – 5%

Enter through ebates or fat wallet or others for further discount. Order online and choose immediate store pick-up.

There are % off other catagories. Additional % off or no interest for one year on large electronics order.

  3. Rob mentioned “Samsung T401g qwerty for Net10 is supposed to be 39.99 or half off at Best Buy on Black Friday.”
Is that going to include the 300 free minutes and the 3-cent text, do you know?

  4. Jean, it should. Every Net10 phone gives you $30 of minutes when you activate it, so there’s no way they could take the minutes out, really – you might have to call for the 3 cent texts, but that should be standard too.

  5. I checked the BestBuy ad (online) and see that it is identical to the phone advertised on Net10′s website — the packaging clearly states $30 free minutes plus 3 cent texts. So it should be smooth sailing. Just 8 per store tho — so we better scope out where they are in the store the day before so we can be sure to get a couple when the doors open. Thx for all your good help!

  6. Any BF info on Mot326G? I notice they have tacked on a usb cable n 2gig card. Anyone know if these are also included in the retail package?

    • Russ, I just bought two retail Motorola 326g packages at Target in the greater Seattle area. The first package that I opened (which will be for me) did not have either the USB cable or the 2 gig card. The second package will not be opened for a while (as it is gift for someone else). Hope that helps, Jim.

  7. I was looking through the Black Friday ad for Best Buy, and it shows the Net10 T401g for 39.99, which is half the price. It should include the 300 minutes, 60 service days, and 3 cent text messaging, even though the price is cut. I doubt it will be half the price online. You’d have to go to the store.

Also, the LG600 from Tracfone, is 19.99 for KMart.

  8. Does any one know about any Straigh Talk deals coming up? I confirmed with a Straight Talk agent that they are coming out with a touch phone in Dec. that will be around $160. I was still thinking about getting the other one with Samsung of there is a good deal on it. Does any one know?

  9. K-Mart Thanksgiving day sale: Moto 326 will be 1/2 price. Extras seem to be available Net10 website orders only.

No one has reported any Trac website Holiday specials. With discounts and acessory kit, could be interesting.

  10. Straight Talk is in the process of adding the Samsung R810C (touch screen)to its phone page. http://straighttalk.com/Phones

  11. I am looking into StraightTalk and have a question. Since the “good” phones are so expensive, can you get any kind of insurance on them like you can through AT&T? I am afraid I am going to purchase a $200 phone, drop it or mess it up in some other way, then have to fork out another $200.

  12. I have just got to say how great Straight Talk has been for me. I recently had At&t ( an iphone) which I loved! But I was paying over a hundred dollars a month! So I got the Samsung Finesse from Straight Talk which is pretty much the exact same thing as an Iphone. BUT FOR 45 dollars a month!!! AND its unlimited texting, minutes, and data! It’s just unreal! First off- there is no contract which is JUST AMAZING but the service is fantastic. It is on the Verizon network so you really get the best of two worlds. Joining Straight Talk was the best thing ever.
